Waste in It's Place
Recycle, Donate, Dispose

Abandoning household items on public or private property is considered illegal dumping. A desk left in a laneway, a mattress placed behind an apartment building or bags of garbage dropped next to a public bin – it's all illegal and it costs taxpayers millions of dollars each year to clean up.

Some recycling and solid waste facilities are temporarily closed, operating with reduced hours, or accepting a limited range of materials – please call ahead. Delay your visit to facilities unless absolutely necessary and store dry recyclables and other items at home temporarily.

Together we make our region strong.

Bag it. Bin it.

Place personal hygiene items like used tissues, face masks, gloves, sanitary wipes (even those labeled compostable or flushable), paper towels, napkins, etc. in a plastic bag and place securely in your garbage bin. Double bag these items if you are sick or caring for someone who is sick.
