Metro Vancouver is exploring opportunities to increase organics recycling in the multi-family and commercial sectors and will bring some options to the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District Board, considering engagement with industry and the public. Staff are developing a business case for the provision of commercial organics transfer services at existing recycling and waste centres. As part of this work Metro Vancouver engaged a consultant to conduct a commercial organics market sounding study. Organics processors, haulers, and generators were surveyed and results were compiled confidentially to provide an industry perspective.
DRAFT Commercial Organics Market Sounding Study is now available for review.
