South Surrey InterceptorSouth Surrey Interceptor<div class="ExternalClassB9082A00D781420B99686A2189092EDB"><p>The South Surrey Interceptor collects sewage from South Surrey and Langley, and conveys it to the Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. In order to accommodate growth and enhance environmental protection, Metro Vancouver is constructing a second sewer near the existing pipe.</p><p>Construction will begin in February 2017 along the section identified in the map below.</p></div>Surrey






<div class="ExternalClass8666EF3F1AD1446C82D8BDEA4B610B89"><p>Impacts associated with this work include:</p><ul><li>Temporary road closures</li><li>Temporary property access restrictions (alternate access points will be provided)</li><li>Increased truck traffic</li><li>Traffic detours</li><li>Noise</li><li>Occasional odour</li></ul></div><div class="ExternalClassD6343EBE9A504CC1B6CC380D5E250D53"><p>Work will generally occur from Monday to Saturday, between 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. However there may be times when crews will work extended hours in order to maintain the construction schedule. All work will comply with the City of Surrey’s noise bylaws or granted bylaw variances.</p></div><div class="ExternalClassFDEA39DE9D63442A86B8C2D4E625A7EB"><p>A Community Liaison Officer (CLO) has been assigned to this project to provide project updates to the community.
