Belcarra Beachkeepers
Summer
Belcarra

Spend your summer on the beach! Participate in a scientific crab study that monitors Belcarra’s crab population and educates visitors about intertidal ecosystems. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and available to commit to a minimum of 30 hours throughout the summer.

Camosun Bog Restoration Group – Work Parties
Saturdays, year-round 9 AM – NOON
Pacific Sprit Regional Park

Be a “Hero of the Bog”! Help restore Camosun Bog and have fun! Pull out invasive shrubs by their roots and become intimate with sphagnum moss. First-time volunteers please arrive at 10 am. Wear old clothes; bring work gloves. Meet at the platform in the centre of the bog (main entrance at 19th Avenue and Camosun Street, Vancouver).

Be a champion for native plants! Tackle some invasive species: non-native plants that have become established and replaced native species. Join Metro Vancouver and the Burnaby Lake Park Association to remove English Ivy and Purple Policeman’s Helmet from areas around Burnaby Lake.
