Camosun Bog Restoration Saturday Work Parties  | |  | Be a Hero of the Bog - join a work party
at Camosun Bog. Get dirty and sweaty,
pull out small trees by their roots, and
become intimate with sphagnum moss.
Work parties are held every Saturday all
year. First-time volunteers please arrive
at 10 am. Meet at the platform in the
centre of the bog and wear old clothes
and work gloves.
Ages 14+
Free. Registration not required.

Silver Sneakers and Little Trekkers Hiking Club  | |  | Here is an adventure to enjoy with your grandchild.
This is a series of easy two hour guided hikes in our
wondrous Capilano Canyon. Little Trekkers should be
5 years and older and be able to understand directions
when given. All should have strong footwear for the
trail. Bring raingear, light snacks and a water bottle.

Silver Sneakers Hiking Club  | |  | Enjoy a guided hike along forested trails of Lynn
Headwaters Regional Park. Designed for active people
over the age of 50, these hikes are moderately strenuous,
and traverse some rough trail with steep sections.
Participants should have previous hiking experience.
Bring sturdy footwear, warm clothing, raingear and
a snack. Hikes offered rain or shine. Instructor: Olga
Ottens.

It is one of the largest local wine & beer tasting opportunities with 30 vendors offering samples of a variety of select craft wine & beer. The festival offers a face to face opportunity for wine & beer appreciators to interact with vendors and be educated on available products, processes, and pairings. Jug Island Beach Fresh Air Hike  | |  | Hike through a west coast rainforest with great
views of Indian Arm. Listen to calling song birds,
admire salmonberry blossoms, and stop at a beach
for sea air. Get refreshed as you walk through a natural,
green landscape. This hike covers a distance
of 6 kilometres and is moderately strenuous with
some hills and stairs.

Night Quest  | |  | As twilight colours fade, shadows
lengthen and darkness falls. Experience
the magic of the park transitioning from
day into night. Stroll along 2 kilometres
of lantern-lit trails for a fun exploration of
the park’s nocturnal life. Visit discovery
stations, watch for glowing eyes and
listen to the night sounds. Gather
around a fire to enjoy entertainment and
celebrate the night.
Start your journey anytime between 7
and 9 pm at 4915 West 16th Ave, 400m
west of Blanca. Bring flashlights and allow
at least one hour to complete the quest.
A concession stand will be provided
by Girl Guides of Canada. This event is
wheelchair and stroller accessible. |

Critter Capers - Case of the Mysterious Egg  | |  | Inspired by programs such as CSI,
this mystery is a fun way to test your
detective skills. Visit each of the clue
stations along the trail and examine
the evidence. Uncover hidden motives,
examine stomach contents and listen to
bird calls. The goal is to learn the identity
of the “mysterious egg.” Allow at least
one hour to complete the program.
