Youth leaders from across Metro Vancouver are taking action for sustainability and making real change in their schools and communities, every day. Youth4Action aims to support these youth leaders to achieve their vision and actions for sustainability.

In March 2012, a group of youth leaders from across the Region came together to capture and share the Youth4Action story.

Metro Vancouver Youth4Action and TELUS World of Science are teaming together to bring you a night of fun, exploration, and inspiration.

Join high school youth leaders from across Metro Vancouver who are actively involved and passionate about creating sustainable school communities. Weave your way through TELUS World of Science to explore local sustainability stories. Exchange strategies, ideas and success stories to achieve your goals and to nurture appreciation for our Earth.

PARTICIPANTS WILL:

• strengthen awareness about sustainability topics
• exchange youth leadership success stories
• visit interactive sustainability stations to explore tools, strategies, community supporters and ideas for action
• create a toolbox for creating sustainable schools

Metro Vancouver Sustainability Toolbox
A Youth-4-Action Leadership Field Course

Where?  Camp Capilano, North Vancouver

The Metro Vancouver Sustainability Toolbox is a unique and experience-based youth leadership program that will bring together a diverse group of students who are passionate about influencing sustainability in their schools and school communities through action, collaboration and leadership.

This action-packed four credit course will feature a wide range of fun and experiential learning and leadership development opportunities designed to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to take action for sustainability.
