Survivor 101 wraps up three sessions | Survivor 101 wraps up three sessions | <div class="ExternalClass4259B0D630CB4479B5E84438DAF46CA3"><p><a href="/events/survivor-101/Pages/default.aspx" target="_blank">Survivor 101</a>, a regional culture development program, delivered three sessions this fall that were hosted by Metro Vancouver and the Regional Cultural Development Advisory Committee members. </p><p>The sessions started on October 13, when the cities of Port Coquitlam, Port Moody and Coquitlam co-hosted a “Lifecycles” workshop facilitated by Vantage Point. This was followed on November 3 by two sessions of “Succession Planning to Build a Thriving Group” – the second part of the Lifecycles workshop – which was hosted by the City of Maple Ridge and facilitated by Vantage Point.</p><p>The third session -- the “Collaboration and Cultural Hubs” workshop – was held on November 21 and featured an update from Creative Cities by Yvonne Chui, the Arts and Community Connections manager in Maple Ridge. The workshop included presentations from Robi Smith and Kat Wahamaa, artists-in- residence in Maple Ridge, and Minna Schendlinger, former facility manager for The Post at 750 cultural hub. This workshop ended with a reception and more networking opportunities as part of the annual Cultural Networks Celebration event. </p><p>Presented all across the region, this <a href="/events/survivor-101/Pages/default.aspx" target="_blank">Survivor 101</a> is designed for grassroots community groups, board members, volunteers and artists. The format for these workshops is interactive using experienced presenters and offering peer to peer networking opportunities.
