Most Metro Vancouver regional parks and greenways remain open and are important outlets for people to access nature, de-stress and maintain physical and mental health. Visitors must do their part to keep themselves and others safe during this critical time and are encouraged to choose parks in their own neighbourhood, to walk, bike, take transit and keep a physical distance of at least 2 metres from others.
Country Celebration has a new name, feel and look. Over the years, celebrating Campbell Valley Regional Park through events like Country Celebration have created many cherished memories. And with regional parks’ mission stated as protecting and connecting to nature, Country Celebration will shift to focus more on the valuable ecology of Campbell Valley. Moving forward Country Celebration of Nature will be a smaller-scale, one-day, free event on September 12, 2020 from 11AM – 3PM that will showcase nature-based and cultural community organizations. Although the marketplace, main stage and food court will no longer be part of this, we will continue to have some of your familiar favorites like performers and nature activities, including the owl quest straw maze. A food truck will be on-site to provide snacks, but feel free to pack a picnic to enjoy in the park.
