Bid Compliance
Canada’s laws of competitive bidding provide the framework for fair and equal treatment of bidders, a principle strongly embraced at Metro Vancouver. Recognizing that bidders invest considerable resources in responding to Metro Vancouver’s bidding opportunities, it serves everyone’s best interests to eliminate errors, oversights and omissions that could render Tenders and Proposals incapable of acceptance. To this end, please contact the Buyer of record for a list of some of the types of errors that can invalidate a bidder’s response. Although not a comprehensive list, it is hoped that bidders' familiarity with this information will assist in submitting compliant Proposals and Tenders. If at all in doubt, contact the Buyer named in the document as the contact for enquiries.
Evaluation of Proposals and Tenders
It is Metro Vancouver’s intent to evaluate proposals and tenders as promptly as possible. Metro Vancouver endeavours to post the unevaluated list of proponents and/or bid results by 10:00am the business day following the closing date. Debriefings may be arranged by contacting the Buyer of record after notification of an award.
Sustainable Infrastructure and Buildings Policy and Design Guide
The Sustainable Infrastructure and Buildings Policy sets standards for sustainable design, construction and retrofitting of Metro Vancouver's infrastructure and buildings. The accompanying Design Guide provides additional details on performance standards for key areas of sustainability and climate action, and pathways for projects to meet these standards.
