The purpose of the Human Resources (HR) function is two-fold. It develops and delivers programs that support both Metro Vancouver's high level goals and each individual department's goals and objectives. In addition, HR works with client departments to attract, build and retain capacity in the achievement of their goals.
Metro Vancouver is committed to creating our future in a livable region. Our success depends on the knowledge and skills of our people.
We have a broad range of career development opportunities and our competitive salaries and comprehensive employee benefits are just part of the full rewards package, which varies by employee group.
We provide and maintain information technologies and infrastructure, safety management systems as well as building operations for our headquarters on Kingsway.
We provide human resource, workforce and labour relations services to municipalities within the Metro Vancouver region.
We also act as a forum where municipalities can connect, share and leverage information. Municipalities work together on matters of common interest, benefiting from the coordination and leadership we offer. Municipalities can access workforce data, research, advice, advocacy, and service tailored to the strategic needs and goals of their municipality.
