The 148 Street Water Main is being constructed in two sections: the Port Mann Section and the Whalley Section.

Construction of the Port Mann Section is currently underway along Surrey Road, Wallace Drive and 148 Street from 115 Avenue to 105 Avenue.

The project will include building two underground valve chambers along the water main alignment. Valve chambers house pipe connections, valves and other equipment used to manage water flow. They also make it easier for crews to conduct maintenance and repair work when required, without disrupting water service in the area. See the map for the exact locations of the valve chambers and the water main alignment.

City of Surrey
