Research in Regional Parks

​Since 1993 Metro Vancouver has tracked visitor use in its parks. Over time our visitor monitoring program grew to include metrics around volunteer activities, programs and services. Additionally Metro Vancouver periodically conducts original research on a range of subjects to support its management of Regional Parks and the delivery of Regional Park programs and services.


Metro Vancouver periodically conducts original research to support Regional Park planning and development activities and survey’s Regional Park visitors to better understand their use of park facilities and their satisfaction with park services. The data gathered from these initiatives provides valuable insights which have broad application in all facets of Regional Park service delivery.



Metro Vancouver tracks visitor use in regional parks and statistics on other services and programs to monitor the level of visitation in regional parks and better understand the value of the Regional Parks service to regional residents.
