Jervis Pump Station UpgradeJervis Pump Station Upgrade<div class="ExternalClass13F1D0FCFC224D56AA2D9E8B8136F9AA"><p>​The Jervis Pump Station helps to safely move wastewater from the City of Vancouver to the Iona Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. Construction will begin in September 2020 and will involve adding a back-up power supply to the existing pump station to provide a reliable power supply during power outages.</p><p>Construction will take approximately eight months and will require the existing building to be expanded. </p><p>Metro Vancouver is working closely with Vancouver Park Board staff to ensure that design of the new and old building is well integrated into the surroundings of Sunset Beach Park. The design will enhance the experience of visitors at this location while preserving the natural beauty of the park.</p></div>

Residents will receive notifications if longer work hours are required. </p></div><div class="ExternalClass6712F07B944E44E0B5D295C9955BD1E1"><p> There will be ongoing opportunities for the public input throughout the project.
