Spring Flowers @ Metro Vancouver HousingSpring Flowers @ Metro Vancouver Housing

For a number of years, the Corporation has provided bedding plants at housing sites with interested gardeners to help add to the visual appeal for all who live at or visit the complex. These gifts of flowers are particularly well received among residents with young children who are excited planting, watering, and watching the bedding plants bloom.

Key to the program’s success is participation of representatives from each complex’s Tenant Association who distribute the bedding plants to interested households, ensuring they are shared fairly and that no flowers are wasted. Any extra plants are allocated to common area beds throughout the property, which greatly enhances site beautification.

While a small gesture by our Housing Corporation, residents look forward to this annual planting, which is especially gratifying to new gardeners because bedding plants are easy and provide fairly immediate results.

http://www.metrovancouver.org/metroupdate/PublishingImages/a8-springflowers.jpg2015-04-15T07:00:00ZGP0|#923c98f2-db26-4fa0-8ad4-bed6c5ee91e6;L0|#0923c98f2-db26-4fa0-8ad4-bed6c5ee91e6|Issue 8;GTSet|#d14ffe11-45dc-48fb-8684-ff109cf15a74

Residents at some Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation complexes are ardent gardeners, and Metro Vancouver is helping with spring blooms.
