This month we bring you important information on emergency preparedness, and a report on Metro Vancouver's annual address to the Vancouver Board of Trade. Board Chair Greg Moore discussed how we can create a livable and prosperous future in our region. There is news on cycling infrastructure on the North Shore, a major sewer project along Lougheed Highway, a Water Services pump station as well as information on Metro Vancouver TV programs and events.</p> <p>Metro Vancouver is a partnership of 21 municipalities, one Electoral Area and one Treaty First Nation that collaboratively plans and delivers services throughout the region. Our core services are drinking water, wastewater treatment, and solid waste management – garbage and recycling. Metro Vancouver also regulates air quality, plans for urban growth, manages a regional parks system, and provides affordable housing. Metro Vancouver is governed by a Board of Directors of elected officials from each local authority.</p></div>
