Emotive Campaign wraps up third seasonEmotive Campaign wraps up third season<div class="ExternalClass9EFF3A4CE61E42E399818C7B5FBF020D"><p>​The summer of 2016 marked Emotive’s third, and busiest, campaign season to date. <a href="http://www.emotivebc.ca/" target="_blank">Emotive: The Electric Vehicle Experience</a> was launched in 2014 to raise awareness about plug-in electric vehicles (EVs) in BC. Metro Vancouver brought Emotive all over the region in 2016, attending nearly 40 events in 13 member jurisdictions.</p><p>Province-wide, in 2016, almost 9000 positive conversations were held under the Emotive tent. Over the past few years, public understanding of EVs has grown significantly – this year staff fielded many practical questions about charging, range, and specific vehicle makes and models – and held more test drives in 2016 than in previous years with 1,280 (up from 560 in 2015).</p><p>In July 2016, there were 2,925 EVs registered in Metro Vancouver, an increase of 82% since July 2015. Emotive also actively involved the EV owner community in 2016. Over 100 EV owners participated as “Emotive Ambassadors” at Emotive events, sharing their personal stories of going electric.
