Water Conservation in Metro Vancouver – public discussions in Langley, North Vancouver and RichmondWater Conservation in Metro Vancouver – public discussions in Langley, North Vancouver and Richmond<div class="ExternalClass080274CAABE145B99C407B5DD9D4E29E"><p>Metro Vancouver's Sustainability Community Breakfasts are monthly breakfast meetings that support the Sustainable Region Initiative. They provide an opportunity to build networks and partnerships, to increase awareness and understanding of the opportunities and challenges related to sustainability, and to bring together individuals and organizations interested in the sustainability of the region. </p><p>Each breakfast typically features presentations about sustainability initiatives, as well as updates about on-going projects. Each breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. and finishes at 9 a.m. Following the breakfast, participants are encouraged to actively engage in informal networking and discussions of sustainability topics and trends to help expand awareness of those issues.</p><p>This current series is focused on water conservation. On average, approximately one billion litres of water is used daily in Metro Vancouver. This can increase to more than 1.5 billion litres daily during the summer.
