Surrey Bend Regional Park now open - plan your visitSurrey Bend Regional Park now open - plan your visit<div class="ExternalClass65BD64DC30FD4538B41B3E80D0F9BF36"><p>On Saturday April 16 over a 1000 attendees celebrated the grand opening of Surrey Bend Regional Park with a ceremony, music, exhibits and an opportunity for visitors to connect with nature, through exploring the park and trails.</p><p>The opening ceremony included representatives from City of Surrey, Katzie First Nation, the Province of BC, and Metro Vancouver. Everyone spoke of the importance of protecting these regionally significant lands and the collaboration among levels of government to create a Regional Park for residents of the region to enjoy and connect with nature. </p><p>What will you find when you visit? Floodplain forests, marshes, thickets and an enhanced water channel provide habitat for many wildlife species.
