The Grouse Grind Trail in Grouse Mountain Regional Park is anticipated to reopen on Thursday, June 21, barring any unforeseen circumstances.Seasonal safety maintenance began on May 22 and includes danger tree removal, rock scaling, safety netting replacement and step repairs. This work is necessary to ensure the Grouse Grind Trail is safe and can withstand an expected 500,000 visits this year.Crews are working seven days a week to complete the safety maintenance. Metro Vancouver thanks all hikers for continuing to respect the trail closure so that the work may be completed as quickly as possible.
