Metro Vancouver is meeting its drinking water performance objectives, delivering 385,000 megalitres of clean, safe water to communities across the region in 2016. With new infrastructure such as the Port Mann Water Supply Tunnel increasing capacity, the region’s ability to accommodate growth is maintained.

Every day Metro Vancouver treats nearly 400 litres of wastewater per capita – safeguarding public health and our local environment. Upgrades to key facilities such as the Annacis Island and Lions Gate Wastewater Treatment plants allow for future growth in the region to be accommodated without impacting this crucial service area.
