This issue highlights the Tsawwassen First Nation’s 10th anniversary of the effective date of their treaty with Canada, and Metro Vancouver’s unveiling of a new nature discovery area at Aldergrove Regional Park, giving children more opportunities to explore the outdoors.</p><p>Work has also started on critical maintenance of an historic shaft on the First Narrows Crossing, while technical upgrades at the region’s solid waste facilities are helping to increase service delivery and customer experience. At the same time, we’re enhancing the way we respond to air quality impacts from wildfires, which is crucial, especially in the wake of climate change.</p><p>With spring in the air, it's planting season, and the Grow Green website is offering tips for the outdoor and container gardener so take advantage and get growing! </p><p> </p><p> <em>Metro Vancouver is a federation of 21 municipalities, one Electoral Area and one Treaty First Nation that collaboratively plans for and delivers regional-scale services. Its core services are drinking water, wastewater treatment and solid waste management.
